As if the LFA auto transport wasn’t going to be rare enough with a production run limited to 500 units, Lexus has announced a special edition Nürburgring Package for that extra helping of exclusivity. Lexus will only offer 50 copies of the LFA Nürburgring Package to commemorate the car’s participation in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. The special edition gets a new front splitter, dive planes and a fixed rear wing just like the race car.

Mechanical changes include a “sport tuned” suspension, although it’s hard to imagine how much more sporting it could be than a “regular” LFA. The ‘Ring car should be marginally faster thanks to the extra 10 horsepower that has been squeezed out of the 4.8-liter V10 bringing the total to 562 hp. The gear changes have been sped up by 50 milliseconds, bringing the shift time to just 150 ms.

In addition to the McLaren orange, whitest white and gloss black, the ‘Ring package is also available in matte black for an extra – get this – $20,000 over the $70,000 package price and the $375,000 sticker price of the LFA.
